Loretta Tucker, 84, recognized for 50 years in ministry

Church of God recently recognized
84-year-old Assistant
Pastor Loretta Tucker for 50
years of service and ministry.
The anniversary banquet was
held at the Renaissance Senior
Apartments.
In 1962, Mrs. Tucker was
Loretta Tucker with her children and grandchildren at her appreciation dinner.
Loretta Tucker, 84, recognized

appointed Assistant Pastor by
her brother Bishop Charles R.
Flournoy. The brother and sister
duo has lead the church together
ever since.
Loretta, a former US postal
worker for 31 years, has participated
in several church ministries
including Sunday school,
usher board, church choir, missionary
board and evangelism.
Mrs. Tucker stated she
was grateful to see all of her
children
 and grandchildren
and said she owed it all to
God.
Daughter Tina Layson
says, “I am so proud of her
accomplishments. She’s always
said, ‘I been running
this long and I am not going
to stop.’
